Rees Howells

Rees Howells (1879–1950) was a Welsh Christian minister and intercessor known for his profound prayer life and dedication to intercessory prayer. He became a key figure in the early 20th-century Welsh Revival and was the founder of the Bible College of Wales in Swansea. Howells is recognized for his deep spiritual insight and role in influencing prayer movements, especially during World War II, where his prayers were credited with impacting significant events, such as the outcome of battles. His autobiography, Intercessor, documents his life of faith, prayer, and obedience to God’s calling.

There are three things to be seen in an intercessor which are not necessarily found in ordinary prayer: identification, agony and authority.
