Leonard Ravenhill

Leonard Ravenhill (1907–1994) was a British evangelist and Christian author known for his passionate preaching on revival and prayer. Deeply influenced by the holiness movement and figures like John Wesley, Ravenhill challenged the modern church for its lack of spiritual depth and urgency. His most famous book, Why Revival Tarries, calls believers to a life of holiness, fervent prayer, and deep repentance. A powerful speaker, he often confronted complacency and worldliness within Christianity. Ravenhill moved to the United States, where he mentored young leaders, including Keith Green, and continued to preach revival until his death. His legacy still impacts many.
