Charles Spurgeon

Charles Spurgeon (1834–1892) was a renowned British preacher and author, often called the “Prince of Preachers.” He began preaching at age 16 and quickly rose to prominence, eventually leading London’s Metropolitan Tabernacle for nearly four decades. A Reformed Baptist, Spurgeon emphasized biblical authority, salvation through Christ, and personal holiness. His sermons drew thousands weekly and were widely published, influencing millions. He also founded a pastor’s college, an orphanage, and numerous charitable works. Despite chronic health issues, his legacy endures through his writings, especially Morning and Evening and The Treasury of David, which continue to inspire Christians worldwide.

Charles Spurgeon Quote

The mind of God is greater than all the minds of men, so let all men leave the Gospel just as God has delivered it unto us.
