E.W. Kenyon

E.W. Kenyon (1867–1948) was an American pastor, evangelist, and author known for his influence on the Word of Faith movement. Blending evangelical theology with elements of New Thought, he emphasized the power of words, faith, and confession in Christian living. Kenyon believed that believers could access divine healing, prosperity, and victory through understanding their identity in Christ. His writings, such as The Hidden Man and In His Presence, stressed the authority of the believer and the reality of redemption. Though controversial, his teachings significantly impacted figures like Kenneth Hagin and shaped modern charismatic and Pentecostal theology.
